Built by Hungarian architect Jozsef Finta in 1992, the "modern hotel with lovely grounds" is near Saint Stephen's Basilica and Heroes' Square. Contemporary Hungarian paintings, fabrics from Turkey and Belgium, and Italian stained glass enliven "contemporary, light-colored rooms." Kempi Brauhaus, self-described as the city's only authentic Bavarian restaurant, serves white sausages and calf liver. The new spa has a Finnish sauna.
